In case you haven’t guessed it, I’m starting to really get into this wedding planning thing. We are trying really hard to stick within our budget so I am looking to save money where I can. I am also really wanting personal touches into everything possible. Basically I want everyone and everything involved with the wedding to be something of significance to us. I want it to all make sense. In my surfing of the internet, I found this cute ring bearer idea on a photographer’s website. It was a heart with twine wrapped around it and I thought that it looked pretty cool. So it got me thinking…
I have been
madly working on a crocheted blanket for someone special in my life for Christmas (I can’t say who, it’s a surprise!) and have just recently finished the fun colour part of said blanket so am left with a bunch of random pieces of wool. This gave me an idea, how about I put them together to make one long chain?! So that is exactly what I did!
Talk about an easy and cool thing for our ring bearer, little Owen to carry down the aisle! I love how the colours turned out. I bought a wooden heart for the base. Then I crocheted a long chain of wool, changing colours as each ran out. I wrapped the chain around the heart and secured the end at the back. I then chained a small piece of wool to tie onto the front to hold the rings. I just love how it turned out!
And here is our cute little ring bearer, Owen! This li’l man loves sports and balls so let’s hope that he doesn’t decide to toss the heart down the aisle!
