In case you haven’t guessed it, I’m starting to really get into this wedding planning thing. We are trying really hard to stick within our budget so I am looking to save money where I can. I am also really wanting personal touches into everything possible. Basically I want everyone and everything involved with the wedding to be something of significance to us. I want it to all make sense. In my surfing of the internet, I found this cute ring bearer idea on a photographer’s website. It was a heart with twine wrapped around it and I thought that it looked pretty cool. So it got me thinking…

I have been madly working on a crocheted blanket for someone special in my life for Christmas (I can’t say who, it’s a surprise!) and have just recently finished the fun colour part of said blanket so am left with a bunch of random pieces of wool. This gave me an idea, how about I put them together to make one long chain?! So that is exactly what I did!

Talk about an easy and cool thing for our ring bearer, little Owen to carry down the aisle! I love how the colours turned out. I bought a wooden heart for the base. Then I crocheted a long chain of wool, changing colours as each ran out. I wrapped the chain around the heart and secured the end at the back. I then chained a small piece of wool to tie onto the front to hold the rings. I just love how it turned out!
